Rosalia Fainberg-Gorskaya (Soprano) (Bratslav, Ukraine 1891 – Leningrad, Russia 1984)



From 1908 to 1913 she studied singing at the St. Petersburg Conservatory and made her debut there as Zerlina in ''Don Giovanni'' (1911). Her real debut was happened in 1913 at the Kiev Opera. Her repertoire included Rosina in ''Barbiere di Siviglia'', Gilda in ''Rigoletto'', Violetta in ''Traviata'', Juliette in ''Roméo et Juliette'', Olimpia in ''Les Contes d'Hoffmann'', Micaela in ''Carmen'', Leila in ''Les Pêcheurs de perles'', Oscar in ''Ballo in maschera'', Lakme in ''Lakme'', Norina in ''Don Pasquale''.
