Gemma Bosini (Soprano) (Milano, Italia 1890 - ? 1982)

She studied in Milan under Salvatore Pessina and made her debut in 1913 at the Politaema Marengo in Novi Ligure as Mimi in G. Puccini's' ''La Bohème''. In 1915 she sang the part of Stella/Giulietta at the Teatro Massimo in Palermo in ‘’Racconti di Hoffmann’’. Here she also got to know the famous baritone Mariano Stabile (1888-1968) whom she married. In 1927 she probably appeared for the last time in Treviso as Alice Ford in ‘’Falstaff’’. Then she devoted herself to the career of her famous husband with whom she stayed in North America, later again in Italy. Her brother was a known organist, who was active in the Milan cathedral.
