He made his debut at the Opera House of Campi Bisenzio as Duke in Verdi’s ‘’Rigoletto’’ (1925). In 1927 he appeared at Firenze as Almaviva in Rossini’s ‘’Barbiere di Siviglia’’. In 1931 he sang at the Teatro Regio in Parma again in ‘’Barbiere di Siviglia’’, here he also performed in Gounod’s ‘’Faust’’ (1939). In 1933 at the  Teatro dell'Opera di Roma he appeared in ‘’I quatro rusteghi’’. In 1936 he made his debut at the Teatro alla Scala as Fenton in Verdi’s ‘’Falstaff’. In 1938 he went to USA and sang at  San Francisco, Philadelphia, Cincinnati and at the Metropolitan Opera in ‘’Rigoletto’’, ‘’Martha’’, ‘’L'Elisir d’amore’’ and ‘’L'Amico Fritz’’. Then he made successful guest appearances at  Città del Messico, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Caracas, Santiago del Cile and Rosario. In 1939 he returned to the Teatro alla Scala and performed in Wolf-Ferrari’s ‘’ La dama boba’’. In 1947 he appeared at the Teatro Pergolesi in ‘’Manon’’.
